This entity is known to appear in the church of Llangernyw through a standing stone portal from the Celtic underworld of Annwn. When it appears it calls out the names of all the people who will die in the coming year. It is said one night a group of drunk men entered the church yard after hearing the myth. One man stood at the church altar calling the name of the creature. Punishing the man, the Angelystor appeared and called the name his name, later that year he passed. The Church of Llangernyw was built during the 13th century and is home to a 3000 year old sacred yew tree.
